"Hyde - King of Earth" (also known as simply "King of Earth" or "Hyde - The Intro Song") is a Weezer song.

"Hyde" was composed by Weezer bassist Scott Shriner.[1] The song was performed at Weezer concerts in the spring and summer of that same year as an instrumental song, appearing on setlists under the title "Hyde - The Intro Song". The song's placement in the 2002 version of the Catalog O' Riffs suggests that it received lyrics (written by Rivers Cuomo) after its initial debut. The song was learned by the band at a soundcheck on August 1, 2002.[2] A demo of the song from the Maladroit era was initially released by Cuomo as part of the digital compilation Alone VIII: The Maladroit Years on November 22, 2020, but was removed a few days later, on November 30, likely due to being co-written (as well as the presence of other band members on the recording).

All my life I sat in corners of the room
Pretty girls would never choose me to talk to
Burning anger fills my heart up more each day
One of these lonely nights I'll throw them all away

I will be the King of Earth
Everyone will feel my wrath

In the meantime, I'll still watch in solitude
Feel my strength increasing deep within myself
All these other fools will scratch their puny heads
Wondering how this little bastard slipped ahead

I will be the King of Earth
Everyone will feel my wrath

To the day you see me burning up the sun
Please enjoy this chance to have your little fun
