"Let It All Hang Out" is the eighth track on Raditude.

The lead guitar part from "Let It All Hang Out" and possibly other elements date back to 2000, while the rest of the song and lyrics were co-written by both Rivers Cuomo and Jermaine Dupri in 2009. The song was featured as downloadable content for Rock Band and Rock Band 2 in December 2009, along with "Beverly Hills" and "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To." The Rock Band version of the song features a slightly different mix. An early version of the song, produced by Jacknife Lee, leaked online in 2017.

The song was performed live in concert in late 2009 through mid-2010. The song was typically preceded by the instrumental track "Woolly Mammoth".

Band Commentary

Rivers: "Let It All Hang Out", that's actually a riff I had laying around for a long time, on the electric guitar. We just needed another song, so I pulled it out. Jermaine Dupri came in and started doing a vocal line over the top of it. It's really fun.

Brian: During that song Jacknife Lee had a lot to do with helping that song become a song. He really liked that riff and he kept pushing Rivers to make a song out of it. [1]
