"Only Just This Once" is a song demoed by Rivers Cuomo in contention for Weezer's fifth album (what would eventually become Make Believe).
Appearances
Overview
"Only Just This Once" was composed by Rivers Cuomo in late 2002. The song was likely demoed as a band on one known occasion.[1] Cuomo continued demoing the song throughout 2004, relegating it to his "B-list" of demos as of late February 2004. The song was, apparently, scrapped thereafter.
Lyrics
I love my friends
They will cry when
I die or go insane
There is no one I blame
I don't worry
When I hurry home
Over the road
And I don't want to die like that
Close your eyes and turn your back
Only just this once
I'll die, I'll cry
I love these girls
Who shape my world
I don't need for nothing
All these pains are soothing
I don't worry
When I hurry home
Over the road
'Cause I don't want to die like that
Close your eyes and turn your back
Only just this once
I'll cry, I'll cry
I love my friends
They will cry when
I die or go insane
There is no one I blame
I don't worry
When I hurry home
Over the road
And I don't want to die like that
Close your eyes and turn your back
Only just this once
I'll cry, I'll cry
