"Semper Fi" (also known as "Higgs Boson" and "Semper Fidelis") is a song by Rivers Cuomo.

Overview

Originally titled "Higgs Boson", the melody for "Semper Fi" first appeared a string and piano composition appended to the end of the "Rocked Out Mix" of "Represent" from the deluxe edition of Weezer's 2010 album Hurley. The song was demoed during the years leading up to the release of what would become the album Everything Will Be Alright in the End in 2014, and was reportedly considered for the scrapped album concept Ecce Homo.

"Semper Fi" is an instrumental. It is possibly being considered for a future album.[citation needed] On December 17, 2020, as part of an update to a list of demos most-requested by fans, Cuomo mentioned that "Semper Fi" and "Higgs Boson" were the same song, of which versions 1-5 had been released as part of the digital compilation Alone XI: The EWBAITE Years. A file titled "Semper Fi 7.mp3" was previously listed as dummy data on the riverscuomo.com demo storefront.
