Weezer performed at the South Gym at CSU in Sacramento, California on December 7, 1994 for the KWOD Christmas Concert. Due to their equipment still being shipped to California and the band having to use rented equipment that did not produce a satisfactory sound, the band only performed one song.[1]

Fan recollection
Attendee Lloni Nishikawa recounted the concert in an e-mail to Karl Koch:[3]
I believe it was 1995 and I was only 15 then. I had been a Weezer fan for a long time but my age served as deterrent for going to shows. Weexer came to Sacramento, along with other bands, in December. I went with my friend Kristine.
Weezer had flown in from the bay area and their equipment had not yet arrived. They played "My Name is Jonas" and quit due to their bad, temporary equipment. Everyone started yelling profane things but I remained in the very front, unmoved and continually yelling "I Love You!"
The next day Kristine stayed home and listened to the interview with Weezer on 106. The band was discussing how frustrating it was that they couldn't use their own instruments and that their fans had very little sympathy. (This is the part that might be questionable since I never heard the interview) Kristine claimed that the band member did mention that one fan was yelling that he/she loved them despite circumstances.
I've always wanted to write the band and verify their acknowledgment but I was afraid that no one would respond. I know it's a silly story and not quite at rock level. But for someone who it still hopelessly in love with a band and who listens to them on a daily level, it means something to me.
I'm 23 now and i guess i've been a fan for a decade - in retrospect that's a long time. I still listen to weezer everyday, River's voice is quite emotive.
Thanks for the time and opportunity.
I really like the site especially for those who aren't technologically savvy.
