Anna Jeanette Waronker is a singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, best known as the frontwoman to the band That Dog.
Overview
Waronker was born in Los Angeles on July 10, 1972. She is the daughter of former music magnate Lenny Waronker and actress/musician Donna Loren. She is married to Steve Shane McDonald of Redd Kross, and is the sister-in-law of Charlotte Caffey of The Go-Gos. Her brother Joey Waronker was a member of Spain and has served as a session drummer.
Waronker founded That Dog in 1992, and she went on to a solo career after that band's 1997 split. After contributing to film and TV projects (Josie and the Pussycats, Clueless), she produced the Imperial Teens' Go with McDonald.
In 2002, Waronker released her first true solo album, Anna, on her and Caffey's label Five Foot Two, followed by California Fade in 2011. That Dog reunited in 2011, releasing their fourth album, Old LP, in 2019.
