I don't even know your name
No, I don't know the words to say
So I call you Anonymous
I don't even know your name
No, I don't know the words to say
So I call you Anonymous
Anonymous
So I look at my life
Look at my friends
Look in the eyes of my enemy
It's all just a gift
That I'm going to give to you
I don't even know your name
No, I don't know the words to say
So I call you Anonymous
I don't even know your name
No, I don't know the words to say
So I call you Anonymous
My Anonymous, my Anonymous
My Anonymous, my Anonymous
Now I know, know what to call you
Now I know, know what to call you
Now I know, know what to call you
Now I know, know what to call you
What to call you
What to call you
What to call you

Appearances
Overview
"Anonymous" is the final song in the "Patriarchia" thematic grouping alluded to in the album's liner notes and supplemental materials (alongside "Eulogy for a Rock Band," "The British Are Coming," and "Foolish Father"), comprising songs about fathers (both literal and metaphorical).
"Anonymous" was written by Rivers Cuomo at some point between 2011 and 2014, and underwent dozens of demo iterations. These original demos featured verse lyrics eventually excised from the final release of the song. While Weezer were in the studio, the song was briefly re-titled "My Mystery," and the song was initially previewed as such in a pre-release teaser video on the band's YouTube account.[1] This version was part of an early mix of the album leaked online in December of 2017. Cuomo's demos of the song were released as part of the digital compilation Alone XI: The EWBAITE Years in 2020.

Lyrics
I approach you most humbly
But I don’t know what to call you
“Jesus” is wrong, “Buddha” is weird
“God” is funny, and science is cold
I don’t want to call you “You”
I don’t want to call you “Sir”
I don’t want to call you male
I don’t want to call you female
I don’t want to believe
I don’t want to say I believe
No, no, no, no
But when I was up on my cross
You were there with me
I’m just not big enough
I'm just not big enough
To satisfy myself, to satisfy myself
There’s so much more out there
And I want to feel it
I want it to move through me
I want it to use me, abuse me
I’m humbled before you
So please, use me like your bitch
I struggled for so long
Thinking I could solve problems
But I’m just another moron
I can’t do shit
There’s nothing can break the laws of nature
But the laws of nature break themselves
Anything is possible
I don’t believe in miracles
Everything’s a miracle
I don't know the words to say
No, I don't even know your name
You're my Anonymous
I don't know the words to say
No, I don't even know your name
You're my Anonymous
Now I know, know what to call you
Now I know, know what to call you
Now I know, know what to call you
Now I know, know what to call you
What to call you
What to call you
What to call you
What to call you
