"Caveman" is a song written by Rivers Cuomo with Tom Morello of the band Rage Against the Machine.[1] A demo leaked in 2017.
Overview
"Caveman" was leaked mysteriously on October 20, 2017, when a Reddit user under the name "ubetterstartpackin" posted a link purporting to be the song "QB Blitz" that was, in fact, the song "Caveman".[2] The user later posted a link claiming it to be the unreleased Rivers Cuomo demo "I've Thrown It All Away," actually simply a joke remix of "I'm Your Daddy." A month later, three demos (purportedly also recorded around 2012) were leaked: "Call the Police," "El Presidente," and "East Coast vs. West Coast."
On December 9, 2020, Cuomo mentioned on his chatroom, Riverchat, that musician Tom Morello co-wrote the song. Morello corroborated this in 2022.[1][3]
