"Foolish Father" is the tenth track on Everything Will Be Alright in the End.

Overview

According to fans who attended focus groups prior to the album's release, the line "hell or high water" was in consideration in place of the line "You are his daughter." [1] [2] In December of 2017, an early version of the song was leaked, along with the rest of the album. This version has slight lyrical differences ("You are his daughter" was "You are his dear one") and the song's outro is missing. Rivers Cuomo can be heard whispering the words "except you die" at the end of the song (approximately 4 minutes, 11 seconds) [3].
