Today in Weezer History: 1/14/2001 - On this day in 2001, it was day 18 of recording the Green Album. "...today's work involved either Rivers singing, or listening back to Rivers singing, or choosing which "takes" of Rivers' singing were best. Rivers sang most of the remaining lead vocal parts today, but reported that he wasn't satisfied with several of them and would have to try again tomorrow. Meanwhile tomfoolery erupted in the lounge, as it often does...Also I worked on several experimental song edits on my computer, so Rivers could hear a different version of a song without having to have the engineers edit the master tapes. I found this highly time consuming and headache inducing, but pretty fun!" - Karl, writing on weezer.com. Photo shows Rivers and Ric Ocasek planning and scheming in the lounge during a break. #ricocasek #thecars #green #GREENALBUM #cellostudios
