Overview
“Possibilities” is the closest the album comes to a genre exercise, an ideal version of Cali beach-town hardcore.
|
"Possibilities" was written by Rivers Cuomo in 2001. It is first known to have been demoed as a band (under the title "Gone to Stay") during recording sessions at Sage and Sound Studios in Hollywood in September of that year.[2] An MP3 of that demo was shared with fans on weezer.com, as were in-progress recordings at Cello Studios during the Maladroit studio sessions. Early demos by Rivers Cuomo were released as part of the digital compilation Alone VIII: The Maladroit Years in 2020.
"Possibilities" is currently the earliest-released Weezer album track to have never, to date, been performed live.

Lyrics
(Give it all away)
(Give it all away)
Oh, oh, possibilities
Take you home with me in your arms
I never thought I'd do that
Take me all the way
And let your body say
Oh, oh, take me by the hand
Let me be the man in your arms
I never thought I'd do that
Take me all the way
And let your body say
Oh, you're gone (Give it all away)
Oh, you're gone (Give it all away)
You're gone
You're gone to stay (Give it all away)
I never thought I'd do that
Take me all the way
And let your body say
Oh, you're gone (Give it all away)
Oh, you're gone (Give it all away)
You're gone
You're gone to stay (Give it all away)
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
I need you
I bleed you now
