"What Is Going On" (formerly titled "Tell Me What You Did") is a demo by Rivers Cuomo demo originally recorded in contention for Weezer's fifth album, Make Believe. It is an early iteration of the Make Believe track "This Is Such a Pity," of which it features identical verse lyrics.

The song was demoed solo by Cuomo during pre-production on Make Believe at S.I.R. Rehearsal Studios. "What Is Going On" is one of several songs derived from Catalog O' Riffs entry #369, beginning with "She Who Is Militant" and ultimately culminating in the Make Believe track "This Is Such a Pity".
A demo of "What Is Going On" was released in 2020 as part of the digital compilation Alone IX: The Make Believe Years, albeit under the earlier title "Tell Me What You Did." Despite this title, the titular lyrics are not part of the song.
