Overview
"Life Goes By" is an upbeat rock song with lyrics reflecting a desire to accomplish something before life gets away from you. Three recorded versions appear on three different album releases, and more versions appear on demos.
The single includes the 2003 album versions of the title song and "Day in the Autumn" plus a demo of an otherwise unreleased song called "Natural". This 'demo' sounds just as produced as anything on the album; it is possibly a sessions outtake.
A video for the song was directed by Karl Koch, and features stop-motion effects, as well as some rather spectacular stunt driving.
