Perfect Situation (AOL Sessions)
hey jason, I saw you added a page for Perfect Situation (AOL Sessions). We're not going to have a page for every time a song is played live- all that stuff can go in a sub-section on the Perfect Situation page, you know? It just makes everything cleaner. The Don't Let Go page is a good example, check that out. thanks man, nice info though. --Soupandballoons (admin) 00:00, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Nice!
Dude! Nice job making an about me box! -ohjonas (admin) 01:49, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Day 1
We added an About Me box to your page. Limited edition Day 1 box. You can do anything you fancy with it. Feel free to remove it. --ohjonas (admin) 19:46, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
References
We've not installed that feature yet for really just one reason. A lot of these things are things that are in my head or others heads that we all remember, but if we have to beef articles and find sources it'll slow progression. Eventually we'll have documented every article and interview and then it will be easy to source things. But right now, it would slow down article making. Eventually, maybe, we'll install it though. --ohjonas (admin) 04:50, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

awesome job dude --ohjonas (admin) 20:09, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah dude it looks very good. Seems like the best way to do it to me. Did you have any questions though? Looks like you've got it all setup. I really appreciate it. Life's been crazy hectic and I feel like I haven't been able to work on the wiki. We've got lots of users, but most don't seem to beef pages, so it's very cool that you do. I forsee user of the month frequently being in your future. --ohjonas (admin) 20:13, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Mod
You do way too much around here. You've been promoted to a moderator..or "bot" as wiki's call it. If you don't want to be a mod, simply let me know. If you wish to be a mod, go forth and serve, my friend. --ohjonas (admin) 19:19, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

The apostrophized version of Rivers is Rivers'. Same goes for something like James' or Lewis'. <3<3 --ohjonas (admin) 05:17, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

We're going to be installing that calender feature when there are enough date pages. --ohjonas (admin) 03:38, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Joke pages
We're looking at adding a Category for Humor, that way we can have a mixture on the page. For example, The Impossible Bend is a legitimate move, but there's also some sarcasm and humorous content on the page. Same with stuff like Sass, Sex or Devastating. We might make a Meme category too. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I've got midterms :( --ohjonas (admin) 07:24, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Well that sounds pretty lame. I just noticed in the Community Portal that it said something about making me a mod, so who knows.
Why thankee!
You also may have noticed that I stole the whole "rankings that change every single day" thing from you. I'm such a thief.--Nikki4982 06:52, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Weezerpedia:Poll The code looks like this <polldaddy pollid="2469171"/>. You change the number to whatever number PollDaddy gives you when you make a new poll. Usual user and password for polldaddy also. --Soupandballoons 22:16, 4 January 2010 (EST)

Re: that dog. pages
I see what you mean, I thought I was getting all of that. I've actually planned to give the entire that dog group of pages a clean sweep and tidy up all sorts of things that I've noticed, including some you may not have. Rest assured, I'm on it. BHHT 15:47, 9 January 2010 (PST)
previous day / next day
Don't put those previous day/next day things on the date pages. Date pages get transcluded onto the main page and that previous/next link does as well. If a date page does have something like that it needs to be inside <noinclude> tags. That way when the main page looks a date page for content it doesn't take those buttons. Even then I think it's best to make an automatic template that can recognize the page name and -1 or +1 so you don't have to manually input for example, previous January 14 next January 16. --Soupandballoons 14:57, 13 January 2010 (EST)

Weezerpedia Spoken Articles
Weezerpedia Spoken Articles --Soupandballoons 10:08, 5 March 2010 (EST)
- That needs to be expanded big time. I don't think I know how to do that, though. The extent of my text-to-voice knowledge is playing with the test text for Microsoft Sam. Who's idea was that, btw? It's really cool. I didn't know Karl's name was pronounced like that till I listened to the article!

Could you please give me your opinion at User:Donny's poll, it seems intresting, and he wishes to send the results to Karl if it becomes a poll, would this be possible?--RiversJackson 22:39, 4 April 2010 (EDT)

Hurley article question
Hey, just wondering if I should add something about PacSun's promotion of the album/clothing line? Karl said that the album's going to be available through them exclusively 10 September, 4 days before it's available everywhere else. -IlluminatedNO 04:14, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
Got it, thanks! I've been apart of a few Wikias before but I know the admins have their own ways of doing things. Just thought I'd check. Thanks! -IlluminatedNO 04:14, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
Awesome he must be stationed at Vance? I'm at Ellsworth in South Dakota. -IlluminatedNO 04:30, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
Oh that's right, Vance is in Enid and Tinker's in OKC. Very cool he's in also. -IlluminatedNO 04:41, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
Blue Album
Hey man, it's me again. I just did some major expanding of the TBA article (surprised to see that one, of all articles, lacking in content). Anyway, I added almost 8,500 words of expansion was just wondering if you could check it out and see if it still needs the reformatting/expansion tags on it. Appreciate it! -IlluminatedNO 20:35, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
Glad to help man! -IlluminatedNO 05:24, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
heads up (Hurley)
Just wanted to let you know I'll be getting a copy of the new album tomorrow and will be doing an overhaul of the Hurley article as I did with the Blue Album's. I'll also be correcting all the lyrics to match the ones in the booklet (assuming they're in there like they have been with the past few albums). -IlluminatedNO 22:02, 9 September 2010 (EDT)
Nah that's fine bro. I'll get them squared away. besides, I care about this site a lot and enjoy helping out. -IlluminatedNO 23:59, 9 September 2010 (EDT)

Regarding a Petition
Everything Will Be Alright In The End is one of my all-time favorite albums and there are like fourteen outtakes I wanna hear officially released and I was just wondering if you and anyone else would want to sign a petition for the Deluxe Edition of the album.

Re: Gallery
Hi! I'm trying to organize the Gallery, and wanted to let you know that I moved the Live and Featured Images galleries into the Weezer gallery because it seems cleaner and makes more sense to have it there. Also, do you know why we have two Equipment galleries? Except for the cover images, it looks the same to me? But I didn't wanted to delete either one just in case, and I saw that you'd updated just recently. - MitzyPeow 17:23, 28 Jul 2019 (PDT)
Hey! I looked at the Gallery again, and I think I figured out what was bothering me about it before - it *almost* seems redundant to have a general folder called "Weezer" - since it's all "Weezer" somehow - and I was trying to make that work by using it for sub-galleries that would related to all-band-together (or mostly all of the band) photos (like how I corralled all the Weezer-related bands into the gallery with their own respective sub-galleries). Maybe 'Featured" should be pulled back out to be on the main gallery page, since as you said, the Featured stuff isn't always full band pics. But it seemed odd to have a separate "Live" gallery when there was a "Weezer" gallery, so I just roped in a few galleries to have several sub-galleries for now.
Also, when I was looking at it before, I was trying to impose some sort of order to how it might make some cataloging sense, which is mostly accomplished now after I alphabetized all the galleries after "Weezer related" (The guys' galleries make sense being up top, of course). It definitely still could use tweaking though...
So good to hear from someone that's been around here for a long time! I'm totally trying to keep the tradition alive (and figure it's a better use of my Weezer energy than being on the boards all the time haha), and @HMC is always updating too, so that keeps me going, knowing that others are doing it as well. Slowly figuring out how to do little things all the time (just recently figured out the templates situation for the whole concerts by month navbox thing). I 'll definitely ask if I get stuck!
(Totally have to get back onto adding to the merch gallery little by little lol)

re: Bootleg pages
hey man, thanks. i just use info from discogs and other sources and make some of these pages when i get bored. as for the rivers cuomo band thing, i honestly have no idea. boston party '97 is i think one of the only places it was credited as so. i plan to keep making bootleg pages because they're just easy and entertaining. if you have any special requests just ask -- deckra 16:24, 31 Jan 2020 (MDT)
Re: Poster for Rivers Cuomo concert: 09/12/2018 - San Francisco, CA
I'm not sure who made it (possibly Rivers?), but IIRC, Rivers tweeted the poster when he announced the concert on Twitter.

re: okbuddyholly reddit
i think i responded in the wrong place initially so im copying what i wrote to here:
oh holy shit sorry about that. i don't think i've actually mentioned it here, but i'm co owner of the subreddit and its corresponding discord. since it is, well, a shitpost subreddit, this stuff is bound to happen, and i apologize for any inconveniences or whatever. we're all just having fun. one of the other moderators in the discord made a short announcement about the situation, so similar situations hopefully won't happen again. if you ever want to talk more in depth about this or whatever, my discord tag is on my user page.
the "Koba posted porn" event actually is a pretty big meme in the server, so maybe we could just change the event to something vague like the "Koba incident" or something, i don't know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
thanks for bringing this all to my awareness - deckra (talk) 05:37, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
Remove the pat wilson on twitter page
He removed his account. Can you please remove the page Pat Wilson on Twitter? Microsoft Windows 8 (Windows NT 6.2) aka. Jonas Suder (talk) 13:37, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
Riverpedia
It's on his website, riverscuomo.com (in my experience, I had to register an account, and then it was a while before I could view the wiki, and then over a week before I could actually edit it). It's a wiki he coded himself for an online harvard web programming class. The idea is that users are expected to write the articles in the first person as if they are Rivers, and then he manually approves the edits on his own time, sometimes adding in his own tidbits (for example, I wrote the entry about "Hot Tub", but Rivers added in the bit about Jennifer Chiba's apartment having a hot tub).--HMC (talk) 00:01, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
things to feature page
hey, i saw you made a new page to log things you might want to feature, so i wanted to ask, are others allowed to edit? i have a few things i'd like to add to the list. thanks! -- deckra (talk) 03:44, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
weezerpedia discord?
i've been thinking about this for awhile, but what do you think of the idea of making a weezerpedia discord? i love mediawiki, but i think the communications systems (like, y'know, the one i'm using right now) are just a bit outdated. there is a "Chat" option on the sidebar but it just doesn't lead to anything. i feel like a discord server would be a great way to actually talk to each other more and make it easier to collaborate and communicate on the things we do. let me know what you think! --deckra (talk) 23:27, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Re: Matt Sharp photos
Hello, I got these photos mostly from trying to find old 1997/96 Matt Sharp images of basses he owned. The images are sourced from Twitter or old abandoned websites.
The Coconut Teazer one was from a Twitter post. https://twitter.com/Darrin99/status/1103744627109027840 By a guy who knew Pat Finn but looking back. I don't think this is the Coconut Teazer at all. Since it mostly looked like this in the 90s. https://imgur.com/a/ub78AYQ It's some unknown show from the 1992 era unless someone can pinpoint the whereabouts of the image.
The Longhorn bass image I got from the old Weezer website archive. web.archive.org/web/20060315191727/http://www.weezer.com/info/equipment/pics/MattJerryJones01.html dated Late 1992
I forgot where I got the blue Mexican Fender J-Bass image from. Probably from an old Geocities website.
The 1997 image I got from Matt's Twitter when he showed an image of his T-Shirt from 97 he still owns today. https://twitter.com/_mattsharp/status/876187256695865344
