Billy Cobb (born 1998), formerly known as Romance Isn't Dead, is an American musician and YouTube personality. In addition to his original music, he has recorded numerous tributes to Weezer.
Overview
Cobb uploaded his first Weezer-related video, a cover of the demo "Superfriend", on February 23, 2017. He later released a cover of "El Scorcho" on June 8, 2018.[1] Two months later, on August 27, he released an attempted re-creation of the scrapped Weezer album concept Songs from the Black Hole. Cobb has, additionally, released other Weezer-related videos and covers.
On May 3, 2019, Cobb uploaded an EP titled Zerwee onto YouTube, consisting of four original songs in the style of Weezer. Said Cobb, "I got tired of waiting for Weezer to release another good album so I made one myself".[2] Cobb released a followup, Zerwee, pt. 2, on July 2, 2020. Both Zerwee albums received physical editions by Needlejuice Records in February of 2021.[3]
