...END OF THE TOUR...Well, the summer is truly over now, I guess, with the final show of the tour going down in Clovis CA, yesterday. Today we rode down to LA and "de-bussed", getting all our gear dropped off and cleaning our stuff out of our mobile home of the last month. Pat and Jen jetted up to Portland, and the crew all went to their respective homes. Except for me, who's sticking around in LA till wednesday to tie up some loose ends...

...The Clovis Show took place in a big fenced-in zone of a water park, so we watched people sliding down the refreshing water halfpipes and stuff while we toiled in the sun, struggling to get a very rough sound system to obey our wishes. This show was another low-budget adventure, with incompetent sound company people to keep in line and some seriously poor PA systems to fix up to weezer standards. As the other bands went through their sets, our crew worked hard to get things working right in time for weezers 7 PM set.

of course, whats a rural outdoor rock festival without 100 extra police around, ready to kick everyones ass on a moments notice? here we see some of Clovis' "finest", as well as their canine and equine partners...there they are even sniffing around weezer's bus!

Even poor catering, police overkill, terrible sound equipment and a chronic shortage of bottled water could not stop weezer from taking that stage and rocking it to the ground. The 5000+ crowd roared in approval!

...and in the end, Mikey did what he had to do... ignite his bass, to pay tribute to the gods of rock n roll!

...The police (by now in riot helmets and wielding truncheons) were disturbed by all this rock, but fortunately didnt jump in and arrest everyone. The band then sat down and signed autographs for all who would wait in line for them... About 500 kids waited, which was impressive considering that the cops wanted to force everyone to leave immediately...all in all an awesome end to an awesome tour...

Thanks to everyone who came or tried to come to the shows!
... it is of course you that makes it all possible...

...Note: there will be some new mpegs up at the WFO by tomorrow night, of some of the above-mentioned events!

...NEW QUESTION...which 3 bands (3 bands only, please) would you like to tour w/ weezer in the future as opening acts? Please email us with your input on this! Thank you!
