Overview
"So Low" was first recorded at Sage and Sound Studios in the summer of 2001. It was performed live by the band several times throughout 2001, notably at that summer's KROQ Inland Invasion festival and as Goat Punishment at the Knitting Factory for the show HBO Reverb.
Also sometimes referred to as "I Need Love" or "Take Back The Love" due to the chorus refrain, the song was later reworked into "Mansion Of Cardboard" during the 2002 Album 5 Demo sessions. During the sessions for Maladroit, an MP3 of the song was meant to be released on weezer.com, but a corrupted, 0kb file was uploaded by mistake.

Lyrics
In your room
In your eyes
Silver spoon
Big surprise
In the darkest of days
I will love you some way
I need love
Babe, I need love
And I want you to know
So low
In your eyes
In your dreams
And the room
Drifts away
In the darkest of hours
I'll remain in your power
I need love
Babe, I need love
And I want you to take back the love you gave me, baby
Sometimes you drive me crazy, baby
This time I want to cry and be alone
Whoa, so low
