Appearances

Overview

Rivers Cuomo alluded to the song's existence to fans through the chat website Riverchat in August of 2020, mentioning that it was the song he was most excited for fans to hear. On September 22, however, he confirmed via Riverchat that the song (along with "Spell It Out") had been removed from the track list[1], adding that "it doesn't work going into bird"[2] (referring to the track "Bird with a Broken Wing"). Despite this, on January 18, 2021, OK Human was formally announced, whereupon the song title was confirmed as the tenth track. Cuomo clarified to a user on Riverchat that same day that "another track took its title". On January 16, 2021, Rivers played a small clip of the original version of the song, and also revealed that it was slated for release on the Autumn installment of the SZNZ albums, before Jake Sinclair gave it the ax.
