Overview
The Black Sessions is the title of the Rentals' April 5, 1996 performance on the French radio show, C'est Lenoir. The bootleg label Sangatte Records has released a number of unlicensed CD-Rs of the performance. Copies dated 2009 and 2012 have surfaced online, however the exact number of unique versions is not known. Different iterations of the bootleg contain minor differences in design and packaging.
The same recording was bootlegged by different labels on Black Session & Rare Trax and Black Session.
