...MB '05 Tour: Day 86: travel/day off - to Houston TX
Today we travelled to Houston, some by bus, some by plane. As of 2 weeks ago, there was serious doubt as to whether there would be a viable roadway between Tampa and Houston (due to Katrina's devastation), so flights were booked just in case the busses would have to go on an insane detour. However it looks like the routes are indeed open now - but the tickets were booked, so we used 'em anyway to get more R+R time on the day off. We plunked down in a pretty nice section of Houston, an area we've never seen in all our various visits here in the past. Despite the humidity, lots of invigorating walking was done today, plus various missions to guitar stores and the like.
