Weezer performed at The Palace in Hollywood on August 15, 1997. The show served as a tribute to Mykel and Carli Allan, the founders of the Weezer fan club. Black Market Flowers and That Dog opened the concert. This was the band's final performance before going on hiatus for three years, as well as the final concert by That Dog before reuniting in 2011.

Overview

People known to be in attendance for this show included, according to Rolling Stone, "Claire Danes, Jared Leto, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Ben Lee, Spike Jonze, Sophia Coppola and members of No Doubt."[1] Black Market Flowers reformed just for this event, as they had previously broken up.[2] Rivers Cuomo played "Mykel and Carli" solo during the show, and Karl Koch would later call his performance the "saddest yet perhaps most uplifting stage moment in [Weezer's] career."[3]
