Weezer performed at the DTE Energy Center in Detroit, Michigan on July 12, 2002 as part of the Enlightenment Tour. The opening acts on the main stage were Sparta and Dashboard Confessional and the opening acts on the side stage were Loudermilk, Home Town Hero and AM Radio. The performances of "Butterfly" and "Island in the Sun" from this show appeared as B-sides to the "Beverly Hills" single and as bonus tracks on the UK and Japanese version of Make Believe.

Well, fun was had by all and later the sun went down and the show rocked on. todays crowd was massive, over 11,000 peeps in the house! Later some of the band commented that this was their favorite show of the tour so far, Pat was especially stoked, both on his playing and the epic nature of the show. And lest we forget: tonight marked the first time since 1997 that "Pink Triangle" was played!
