SZNZ: In Residence on Broadway

SZNZ: In Residence on Broadway was a planned five-concert residency by Weezer on Broadway, wherein the band would have performed the one of the four SZNZ EPs in their entirety each night, alongside a selection of Weezer rarities, with a fifth "Encore" night featuring a "best of" selection of songs from the previous nights. The residency was announced alongside the release of SZNZ: Summer on June 21, 2022. On August 10, Rivers Cuomo confirmed on his Discord server that the concert had been cancelled due to low ticket sales and high expenses.

Overview

Prior to the announcement of the residency, Cuomo created a survey on his website allowing users who had purchased at least one demo bundle to assign a letter ranking (A through D) to determine which songs they would like to hear at a concert for "hardcore" Weezer fans. Spotify playlists were assembled of the final songs considered.
