Asian Kung-fu Generation
Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Yokohama, Japan, in 1996. The band opened for Weezer on the Troublemaker Tour in 2008, and Rivers Cuomo co-wrote two songs for their 2018 album, Hometown. The band later included a cover of "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams" as a b-side on their 2022 single Demachiyanagi Parallel Universe.

Ben Folds is a American singer-songwriter. He first gained widespread prominence as the eponymous frontman of the alternative rock band Ben Folds Five. Folds opened for Weezer for two shows in 2005.

Best Coast
Best Coast is an American rock duo consisting of songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Bethany Cosentino and multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno. The duo opened for Weezer in 2010 on Weezer's Memories Tour, wherein Cosentino accompanied Rivers Cuomo on lead vocals for the song "Island in the Sun." Cuomo and Cosentino remained in touch thereafter, eventually collaborating on the song "Go Away" for Weezer's 2014 album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End.

Biffy Clyro
Biffy Clyro is a Scottish rock band from Kilmarnock, Scotland consisting of Simon Neil and brothers James and Ben Johnston. The band opened for Weezer for one show during the Europe Tour (2002) as original opening act Remy Zero was unable to play due to illness. They have also released a cover version of "Buddy Holly" on the 2006 compilation album High Voltage - A Brief History Of Rock released by Kerrang! Magazine.
